Life cycle analysis and risk assessment
The life cycle analysis since the creation of a nanoparticle, commissioning and use of a nanoproduct, its future and its end of life allow to identify potential exposures to nanoparticles. We can distinguish professional risks and the risks for the population: either directly through the use of a nanoproduct, or indirectly via environment.
Population potential exposure.
We distinguish direct individual exposure of a consumer or of a user of a "nano" product whose particles are fixed or integrated into a support medium, from the public indirect exposure as a result of an ejection, an accident, the mismanagement of waste followed by migration in the air, water and/or soil and possibly insertion into the food chain.
